A great relief for actress Jacqueline Fernandez! On September 26, she was granted interim bail on bond of Rs 50,000 in Delhi’s Patiala House Court as per a report in ANI. For the unversed, Jacqueline had appeared at the court as an accused in connection with a Rs 200 crore extortion case linked to alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Her lawyers had aplied for a bail plea before a Delhi court after she was summoned by the court.
As per reports, the court asked the ED (Enforcement Directorate) to file a reply and granted her interim bail till then. The actress was seen coming out of the court with her lawyers wearing a white shirt and black trousers. The next hearing is on October 22.

Jacqueline was summoned by the ED several times in connection with the case, and the agency named her as an accused for the first time in the supplementary charge sheet.
The Kick actress was allegedly gifted jewellery worth over Rs 7 crore by the conman who is currently in Tihar jail. He had also allegedly gifted her and her family members several high end cars, expensive bags, clothes, shoes and costly watches.
Earlier, in a statement to the ED, Jacqueline had reportedly said that Sukesh introduced himself as the owner of Sun TV and as a member of an influential political family from Chennai. Jacqueline had also stated that she received limited edition perfumes every week, flowers every other day, designer bags, diamond earrings and a mini cooper from him.
