Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate for more than 10 hours on Wednesday. The actress is being questioned in the ₹ 200 crore money-laundering investigation. The investigation involves alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar and others. The ED will continue questioning Jacqueline on Thursday, December 9 too.
As per ANI, The 36-year-old actor was seen arriving at the probe agency’s office in Delhi at 11 am. She left the office around 9.30 pm. The actor was questioned about her relationship with Chandrashekhar and the financial transactions she has had with him. Also about the expensive gifs that he had gifted to her. These gifts, ED sources said, include Persian cats and a horse apart from a vehicle.
The actor’s spokesperson had earlier said, “Jacqueline Fernandez is being called to testify as a witness by the ED. She has duly recorded her statements and in future will also be completely cooperating with the agency in the investigations.”

Jacqueline Fernandez was on Sunday stopped from leaving the country by immigration officials at the international airport in Mumbai. There was a lookout for the actress issued by the ED. The actress wanted to go to Dubai for a show when she was stopped at the Mumbai airport. Apart from Jacqueline Fernandez actress Nora Fatehi has also recorded her statement with the ED as a witness.
The agency filed a charge sheet before a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court in New Delhi. They named Mr Chandrashekhar, his wife Leena Maria Paul and six others. The investigation found that Mr Chandrashekhar while lodged in Delhi’s Rohini jail allegedly ran an extortion racket.
