Jacqueline Fernandez reveals she was asked to do ‘nose job’ and ‘change her name’

Everyone in the industry has his/her own share of ups and downs. It’s not a bed of roses for all. Bollywood diva Jacqueline Fernandez had also experienced a few ups and downs when he entered the Bollywood industry. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Jacqueline revealed that she was asked to change her name from Jacqueline to Muskaan.
Even she was asked to get nose surgery.

She said, “I was told, ‘Do a nose job’, ‘Change your name’. So many people! At that moment, I thought, ‘Is it really needed?’ I decided to just be me. I was quite calm and cool and collected about it, and then things worked out for me.”

Jacqueline further said, “I was told, ‘Change your name to Muskaan.’ I remember these suggestions. My agency also thought, ‘Should we change her name? Jacqueline Fernandez is very Western. How do we crack the industry?’ Then they were like, ‘Maybe we should just go with her name and just see where that goes.’”

She also revealed that some people even asked her to make her eyebrows darker and many spoke about her accent. “I felt really offended by this. I came for a Diwali party once in a really traditional outfit. Three of my actor friends were like, ‘Why are you wearing a saree? Why are you trying so hard? You are not Indian!’,” added the ‘Kick’ actress.
