The Original Queen!
The movie 'Tezaab' quickly reminds us of Madhuri Dixit's iconic song 'Ek Do Teen'. Our very own diva grooving on those mohini-mohini chants and simple tunes. Also, her attire tone in the song is on the same colour plank; blush PINK. The classic number has created a benchmark in its times and can't be replaced for sure.
The Remake Version
Cut to Jacqueline Fernandez, whose repertoire and range of facial expressions go from A to B as opposed to Madhuri's A to Z. She is dressed like Madhuri was in the original song, though the costume, as expected, is a lot flashy/revealing. But that's about it. There is none of Madhuri's bridled come-hitherness in Jacqueline's all-out act of brazen seduction.
The Glitter did not Impress!
Not just the pink costume, even the glittery attire which Jacky is seen wearing in the same dance number makes us cringe. Our main reason to unlike this costume is that, it really brings down the value of the song. It is a skimpier attire, which could have been avoided.
Nor the BLING!
Last but not the least, is this BLING-filled attire where many aadmi's look at Jacky's waist. While that's fine, but why do we need over-the-top outfits and added masala to make a classic version HIT? From the so-called whistle-ful additional beats to the scanty clothing idea, all things have gone wrong here.
Let’s talk on a much frank note and not mince words. Jacqueline Fernandez’s new song (a remake of the old version) ‘Ek Do Teen’ from ‘Baaghi 2’ might make you groove, but does it live upto the iconic steps and costumes expectations? Clearly no, from our side. (Also Read:‘Manikarnika’ actress Ankita Lokhande is teaching us how to go casual this SUMMER)
