Actress Rhea Chakraborty, who will be seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Jalebi’, is hoping that this film turns out to be her ‘Aashiqui’. Mahesh Bhatt is known to shape careers of many actors like Kangana Ranaut, Shraddha Kapoor etc.
Talking about the movie, Rhea says, “I am hoping ‘Jalebi’ turns out to be my ‘Aashiqui’. I am constantly wishing that this film hit the 100 cr club. We feel this is a great film which will resonate with the audience.”
Rhea, who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti‘ in 2013, has seen a downfall in her career. On this, she said, “When your films don’t work then you have to re-prove your worth through auditions and meetings. It is tough and as a human being and an actor, you go through various struggles and you have self-doubt. You start doubting yourself when your film doesn’t work. Once you taste blood, you can’t go back and that madness is big enough to last in this industry.”
