Janhvi Kapoor to collaborate with dad Boney Kapoor for a film?

There was a lot of hype surrounding late Sridevi and filmmaker Boney Kapoor’s elder daughter, Janhvi Kapoor’s Bollywood debut. With the hype, there was a lot of pressure on the star kid too but since her debut film, ‘Dhadak’ released, people now know that she has a bright future.

‘Dhadak’ which released last Friday, July 20, is getting good reviews from the critics and the masses and the film has done a good business at the box-office too. Janhvi is happy with the positive feedback she has received and is in a happy space. After ‘Dhadak’, Janhvi hasn’t signed any film yet but there is news regarding the same! Reportedly, Janhvi will collaborate with her father, Boney Kapoor for a film.

Talking about the same, a source close to Boney Kapoor confirmed to a daily, “It would be a role very different from the one Janhvi has done in ‘Dhadak’. Hopefully, something very glamorous. Boney is known to spend money on his family films like water… Janhvi’s film from her home production will be as lavish as her mother’s ‘Mr India’.”

The Kapoors knew there would be comparisons between Janhvi and mom Sridevi. Talking about the same, Boney Kapoor said, “We knew that Janhvi would be compared with her mother. Sri knew it too, and it worried her. She prepared Janhvi for these inevitable comparisons.”

It would be great to see the father and daughter collaborate for a project. We are sure it will be something special. What do you think?

Janhvi’s debut film, ‘Dhadak’ also starred Ishaan Khatter and was produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, ‘Dhadak’ was an adaptation of the hit Marathi film, ‘Sairat’.
