Janhvi Kapoor admits being inspired by Zendaya and Urfi Javed for her method fashion for Mr And Mrs Mahi

Actor Janhvi Kapoor has been flaunty a method dressing during the promotions of her upcoming movie Mr and Mrs Mahi. Earlier, she was spotted wearing a red faux leather dress that featured cricket balls at the back. For the second time, she picked a Masaba creation and her crop top comprised of her jersey number 6 from the movie. Interestingly, we got to see a number 6 yet again during the launch of the Mr and Mrs Mahi trailer. She stunned everyone with a stunning red and blue ombre saree and her blouse had number 6 at the back of it.

Janhvi Kapoor agrees to be inspired by Zendaya

Though she was flaunting her method fashion, a fan asked her if she was copying Zendaya. During her ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram stories, she agreed to be inspired by the Dune actor. Moreover, she praised Uorfi Javed for her creativity in fashion in her video. The Mili actor said, “I’m very heavily inspired by what she did for her Challengers & Dune promotions. And, no just her, even I think Uorfi, how creative she is with her fashion.”

“I feel like as actors were all encouraged to kind of do method dressing or dress similar to your character when you’re promoting a film. I have never really done it except for Dhadak. But when I saw her doing it and doing it so well and also dress like in accordance with the theme of the film, I realised that as actors there is a good amount of attention put on how we can look. And how we dress and if I can use that to bring attention back to my film then why not,” Janhvi concluded.

Meanwhile, Mr and Mrs Mahi trailer garnered good responses from fans. The movie is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Dharma Productions. Also starring Rajkummar Rao, Mr and Mrs Mahi release date is May 31.
