Janhvi Kapoor breaks silence on paparazzi culture, reveals there’s a celebrity ration card: “If your price is high, they reach you”

Janhvi Kapoor has emerged as one of the most promising actresses of today’s time. Her body of work speaks volume of her versatility. Apart from being exceptionally talented, the diva is an honest human being and all love this personality. From talking about her mother, method dressing, to reports of Dostana 2 getting shelved the actress has spoken about all. In a recent interview, Janhvi Kapoor opened up about the paparazzi culture and revealed how celebs have ration card.

In an interview with the Lallantop, Janhvi shared that there is a ‘celebrity ration card’. She added, “Like right now, Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’s promotion is going on; they are called to the airport to click my picture. But when the film’s promotion is not happening, when I am not going for shoots, when I want to disappear, then, if they want to put in extra effort, and this has happened many times, they follow the car because they get paid for every picture, every image.”

She added, “Every celebrity has a ration card. Their pictures sell for so much. If your price is high, they reach you, follow your car. If the price is not that high, you call paps.”

In the same interview, the Mili actress mentioned that for Mr and Mrs Mahi’s promotions, she has taken 25-30 flights, but the media has been able to spot her just 5-6 times only. She further disclosed that she has requested the paps to not click her outside the gym as she does not want to be snapped in “tight” gym clothes.

She said, “Main nahi chahti hoon ke woh log mujhe gym ke tight tight kapdo mein dekhen. Aur jab woh photo aate the baahar to bolte the ke jaan boojh kar ye tight kapde pehan kar dikhna chah rahi hai. To usse acha mat kheencho, main to nahi bulati wahaan gym ke baahar. (I don’t want them to snap in tight gym clothes. When those pictures come out, they say that she loves to get herself clicked in tight-fitted clothes. So, they shouldn’t click me. I did not ask them to come outside my gym).” She also added that she requested them politely and now they do not come.

Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming movies

On the work front for Janhvi, she has Ulajh in her kitty in which she plays an IAS officer. She will also be seen reuniting with Bawaal co-star Varun Dhawan for Karan Johar’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Moreover, Kapoor is set to star alongside Jr NTR in Devara Part One. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan marking his South debut.
