Janhvi Kapoor remembers her mom Sridevi with an emotional post

Tomorrow is Sridevi’s first death anniversary and today Janhvi Kapoor took to her Instagram handle to share a heartfelt post remembering her mom. Time really flies fast and it has been a year since the death of the veteran actress. Her death shook not only her family but the entire nation. We still can’t forget the day when the entire Kapoor family was devastated by the death of Sridevi.

Janhvi shared a black and white picture with a post that read as: “My heart will always be heavy. But I’ll always be smiling because it has you in it.”

After Janhvi posted the picture, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, her cousin Sonam Kapoor and aunt Maheep Kapoor among others showered their love for Janhvi. Here are the comments.

As per tithi, the Kapoor family held a prayer meeting at Sridevi’s maternal home in Chennai on February 14. Boney Kapoor turned emotional during the prayer meeting. On February 24, Sridevi died due to accidental drowning in the bathtub of her hotel room. After investigations in Dubai, the mortal remains were brought back to Mumbai. At the time of death, Janhvi was not there as she returned back to India to resume her shoot for ‘Dhadak’. We can feel Janhvi’s pain as she couldn’t be with her mother at the last moment. Had Sridevi been alive, she would have been proud of her daughter’s success.

Boney Kapoor has donated Sridevi’s favourite handwoven Kota saree to a non-profit charitable trust, Concern India Foundation, and now they have put it for auction.

Sridevi will always be in our heart and will be remembered for her works.
