Janhvi Kapoor wishes to do a comedy role, Bollywood directors, are ya’ll listening?

Janhvi Kapoor delivered a jaw-dropping performance alongside Varun Dhawan in Bawaal. The actress started off with a shiny character in Dhadak and kick-started her career with the film. Apart from romantic characters, Janhvi has also picked up strong and resilient films including Mili, Gunjan Saxena and many others.

Janhvi has established herself as a strong actress with delivering memorable performances. The Bawaal actress expresses her desire to explore comedy and pick up glamorous roles ahead in her career.

Janhvi Kapoor speaks about picking new roles

Speaking with Times Of India, Janhvi has cleared the air with the expectations of picking up glamorous roles that followed after her performance in Dhadak. She believes that such kind of roles are powerful enough to gain popularity and extend an actors’ reach. She said, “Those roles are very satisfying. But now I feel a little saturated with telling stories that involve this much pain, upheaval and turmoil.”

She chooses to pick up distinct and challenging roles to explore herself as an actor and test her acting abilities.

About picking up conventional and glamorous roles, Janhvi said, “I want to look good and dance a little bit on screen because somewhere along this journey, I forgot that is what comes naturally to me the most. So, I think it is time for me to go back to my natural state for a bit.”

Janhvi had kept her fans and followers mighty impressed with her distinct character in Bawaal. After sharing the screen with Varun Dhawan, the actress left her fans amazed with a cameo. Janhvi, along with Ranveer Singh, grooved in a song from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Now, she is all set to star alongside Rajkummar Rao in Mr. and Mrs. Mahi. The film is slated to have a theatrical release on 24 March, 2024.
