Janhvi Kapoor clarifies she isn’t being inconsiderate towards the country’s situation while sharing a magazine cover

The second wave of Covid-19 is rapidly spreading all over the nation and while the authorities are doing all in their power to curb the pandemic things seem to be amplifying. As the Covid-19 restrictions were announced by the government many Bollywood celebrities were seen jetting off to Goa or the Maldives for a beachy vacation. Many celebs were bashed as well waving off their privilege. But, Janhvi Kapoor recently shared a few of her magazine shoots on Instagram and along with that, she issued a clarification that she is in no way being inconsiderate.

Janhvi took to her Instagram account and sharing the magazine cover she wrote, “In these trying times, I know it’s important to be sensitive to the troubles we as a country are facing & I would never want to be inconsiderate towards that. This cover, however, and the subsequent posts of it had been committed to a while back and were shot before lockdown. We were as safe and precautious as possible. I hope all of you are staying safe and strong! Love always.(sic)”

Earlier in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was seen bashing celebs going on vacations amidst the pandemic, he said, “These entertainment celebrities posting vacation pictures at a time when the world is reeling under the worst recession. …Logon ke pass khana nahin hai aur aap paise phenk rahe ho. Kuch toh sharm karo.” Shruti Haasan as well, said in an interview with The Quint, “Glad they had a great Holiday, they deserved it. I did not personally feel it was a time to go maskless in a pool. It has been a tough time for everyone and for some people much more. I think gratitude and being thankful for privileges is what is most important to know versus throwing your privileges in people’s faces.”
