Janhvi Kapoor issues a clarification for her latest magazine cover

The second wave of Covid-19 has spread nationwide and the authorities are struggling with curbing the pandemic. Amidst this; when the new lockdown restrictions were announced, many Bollywood celebrities like Janhvi Kapoor, Deepika Padukone Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and others were seen heading out of the city to Maldives or Goa. They had received a lot of backlash for rubbing their privilege in the faces of those struggling in this pandemic. Janhvi Kapoor recently shared her picture from a latest magazine cover shoot and made sure to issue a clarification that it was done before the lockdown.

In the picture, Janhvi was seen wearing a very blingy beachwear set. She had a silver sequined bikini top on with a blue sequined wrap around. She looked gorgeous as ever in the shiny waters of Maldives. Janhvi took to her Instagram account and sharing the covershoot she wrote, “Pre committed post, and shot before lockdown. We were as safe and cautious as possible. Hope everyone is staying safe and strong ?(sic)”

Earlier in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was seen slamming celebs who were vacationing in this tough time, ” he said, “These Entertainment celebrities posting vacation pictures at a time when the world is reeling under the worst recession. …Logon ke pass khana nahin hai aur aap paise phenk rahe ho. Kuch toh sharm karo.”
