Sridevi Birthday: Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Boney Kapoor remember the late actress with sweet throwback pictures & captions

Today, August 13, 2024, is the 61st birthday of Sridevi and the late actress’ family has taken to social media to remember her. The actress’ husband, producer Boney Kapoor and daughters – Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, took to their respective Instagram handles to celebrate her. Remembering Sridevi on her birth anniversary, Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram and shared a couple of pictures remembering her mom. Captioned, “Happy birthday Mumma (heart emoji) I love you,” the carousel includes a pic of a young Jnahvi posing with her mother. The other two images include a staircase photo of the temple and the ‘Ulajh’ actress dressed in a traditional lehenga. The actress however and now deleted the post.

Khushi Kapoor took to her Instagram Stories and shared a cute throwback picture remembering Sridevi on her birth anniversary. The captionless picture features Sridevi posing with her Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor as the ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ actress strikes a goofy pose.

Taking to his Instagram, Boney Kapoor shared a picture of the late actress. He simply captioned it, “Happy birthday my Jaan.” The picture seems to be an edited image of the actress from her 2012 film English Vinglish.

Sridevi death

Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, in Ras Al Khaimah (UAE). While initial reports stated that the cause of death was cardiac arrest, further investigation revealed it was an accidental drowning. Her funeral took place on February 28, at the Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium in Mumbai. She was cremated with state honours and also received a gun salute at her funeral.
