Has Janhvi Kapoor started preparations for IAF chopper pilot Gunjan Saxena biopic?

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, as it seems, is a busy girl these days. The ‘Dhadak’ actress has found a way to stay in news and don’t worry, for all the right reasons.

After her debut in Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Dhadak’ alongside Ishaan Khattar, Janhvi is making her mark in the industry. The diva recently appeared on Karan Johar’s hip and trendy chat show ‘Koffee with Karan 6’ alongside her step-brother Arjun Kapoor.

Now, it was reported or rather speculated earlier that Janhvi Kapoor has signed another Karan Johar’s film. The film was reportedly based on the life of IAF chopper pilot Gunjan Saxena. According to a source quoted by Mumbai Mirror, “Janhvi will start prep in the next few days with basic flying lessons and sessions on how the Indian Air Force works and lives. She spent time with Gunjan a few months ago and will be meeting her again to understand the story better.”

Gunjan Saxena had evacuated injured soldiers from Kargil amid struggles and chaos and showed her bravery during challenging circumstances. Janhvi Kapoor, despite being raw and young has tremendous potential and is always willing to learn and try out new things.

Bollywood, in recent times has gravitated towards biopic genre. We had the example of Priyanka Chopra portraying boxer MC Mary Kom on the silver screen titled ‘Mary Kom’.

We certainly hope that Janhvi understands the nuances and basics of an IAF pilot and gives her 100%. Janhvi Kapoor is also working in another Dharma Productions project called ‘Takht’.
