Janhvi Kapoor on being compared with Sara Ali Khan: I don’t know why everyone is pitting us against each other

Late veteran actress Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor made her silver screen debut this year with the romantic film ‘Dhadak’. The youngster was praised for her performance, and now she has filmmaker Karan Johar’s magnum opus ‘Takht’ in her kitty.

Just like Janhvi, we have other star kids like Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday all set to make their silver screen debut. With so many star kids about to make their debut, comparisons are bound to happen. In a recent interview with DNA, when asked about the prevailing competition, Janhvi said, “I don’t know why everyone is pitting us against each other. I guess people enjoy doing that. Competition is a bad thing if you make it sound that way.”

Not just that, Janhvi even questioned why only women are pitted against each other and why no one asks the same questions to her male counterparts. “It’s laso odd because I think you only pit women against each other. Why is no one asking Ishaan(Khatter)the same question — if he’s feeling the sting of competition, too! People love pitting women against each other. But in reality, we can be happy and celebrate each other’s success. It’s easy to co-exist, if you are doing a good job,” remarked the youngster.

In the same interview, Janhvi further stated that she is excited to see Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria on the silver screen. “It’s good to see so much new talent coming into the industry,” signed off the actress

Well, we totally agree with Janhvi’s view that it’s easy to co-exist in this film industry. Don’t you guys agree with her too?
