Janhvi Kapoor steps into mom Sridevi’s shoes, turns muse for Manish Malhotra

The 65th National Film Awards 2018 ceremony has begun at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi today after a lot of controversies. Around 70 winners have decided not to attend the National Film Awards to protest President Ram Nath Kovind’s decision to not felicitate all the winners.

Late actress Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor and her daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor were recently snapped at the ceremony to receive the ‘Best Actress’ award for ‘Mom’ on her behalf.

“We are proud of her, she truly deserved it. She always gave her best for all her films. Sadly she is not around to accept it. But we are proud of it,” Boney told Hindustan Times.

For this grand event, Janhvi Kapoor picked a Manish Malhotra creation. After Sridevi, her daughter has turned muse for this ace designer. This is the same saree which Janhvi’s mom Sridevi had worn once for an event.
