Janhvi Kapoor is one of the most talked-about actresses in the industry right now. She is currently busy with her upcoming OTT release i.e. Bawaal co-starring Varun Dhawan. As many know, Janhvi has interesting projects in the pipeline. It was recently reported that Janhvi Kapoor will be making her Tamil debut. The reports claimed that she will be seen in a Tamil film produced by Kamal Haasan’s production house, Raaj Kamal Films International.

Janhvi Kapoor to make her Tamil debut?

The reports further added that the upcoming film will be directed by Vignesh Shivan. It also said that Janhvi will be starred opposite Love Today actor Pradeep Ranganathan in the same. But are the reports true? Well, according to India Today, there is no truth in the rumours.

India Today quoted a source saying, “This news is not true. Janhvi Kapoor has not been approached for this project at all. The script is still being finalised by Vignesh Shivan and Pradeep Ranganathan. Only after the script is final, will they then look at the rest of the cast.”

The report further added, “It would be a typical love story in the style of both Pradeep and Vignesh Shivan.” It also said that the film will go on floors is six weeks.

For the uninitiated, Janhvi is already set to make her Telugu debut with Jr NTR. The upcoming project has been titled Devara and also stars Saif Ali Khan. It is directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Mikkileni Sudhakar and Kosaraju Hari Krishna. Janhvi’s fans are beyond excited for her Telugu debut.

On the other hand, Bawaal starring Janhvi and Varun will release on Prime Video on July 21. The makers recently treated fans with Bawaal teaser and it received a good response. On Friday, the makers dropped Bawaal’s first song titled Tumhe Kitna Pyaar Karte. Apart from this, Janhvi also has Sudhanshu Saria’s Ulajh which also stars Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Matthew.
