This is proof that Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor have always been filmy!

Being born in a film family, you are going to grow up watching movies and talking movies. So it was natural for Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, to be obsessed with films! The two Kapoor girls have been filmy since childhood and have enacted scenes from movies!

In an interview with PTI, Janhvi said that she was obsessed with Deepika Padukone in ‘Om Shanti Om’ and would imitate her hand wave. She said, “I always wanted to see myself on screen. I remember I would watch random movies and was obsessed with ‘Om Shanti Om’. I would enact every scene from the film and force Khushi to be Shah Rukh Khan and I’d be Deepika, doing that typical hand wave.”

Besides ‘Om Shanti Om’, there was another film’s scene they would enact. Revealing about that, Janhvi said, “Even with the film ‘Titanic’, Khushi would be Jack and I’d be Rose and we would say those lines to each other, ‘I’d never let go!”

Janhvi wanted to explore other options before getting into movies, hence she did various courses. Talking about it, she said, “I wanted to explore other avenues. I wanted to know if I’m inclined to this just because it’s been in my house while growing up or is it really something I can dedicate myself to. So I decided to take up an acting course, an art history course and a fashion course. I started with the acting course and I remember, it’s like, once you live an honest moment in front of an audience, it’s euphoric. It’s an irreplaceable feeling.”

Janhvi’s debut film, ‘Dhadak’ also stars Ishaan Khatter. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film is all set to release this Friday, July 20.
