Janhvi Kapoor finally reveals why sister Khushi cried at the trailer launch of ‘Dhadak’

Filmmaker Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi’s elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor is all set to enter the world of glitz and glamour, by making her silver screen debut with Shashank Khaitan’s romantic drama ‘Dhadak’. Unfortunately, Sridevi Boney Kapoor’s sudden demise way before the trailer launch of Janhvi’s debut film left the entire nation in a state of shock. However, braving everything Janhvi resumed the shoot of her film and completed it on time.

The trailer launch of ‘Dhadak’ was a very emotional affair for the entire Kapoor Khandaan. Janhvi’s immediate family made sure to be present at the launch to witness her first brush with the media and the world as an actress. Throughout the trailer launch event, Janhvi’s younger sister Khushi was by her side. And, after watching the trailer Khushi became so emotional that she ended up hugging Janhvi and crying. Explaining about what made Khushi Kapoor cry at that moment, Janhvi in an interview with India Today said, “Both of us were in shock. In my entire life, I’ve probably seen her crying only two or three times. So we just hugged each other, and she said, ‘I don’t know why I am crying’. It was a very special moment. Maybe I have done something very, very wrong and that’s why she was crying!”

In her first interview with Vogue, Janhvi talking about Khushi’s maternal love for her had said, “Khushi is very maternal with me. I am a full baby. She takes care of me. Now she comes and puts me to sleep sometimes.”
