Even before their debut in Bollywood, Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan have been making headlines either individually, or as each other’s competition. Both the star kids are making an entry in Bollywood this year. Where Janhvi’s film, ‘Dhadak’ is releasing this Friday, July 20, Sara’s film, ‘Kedarnath’ will release in November. But people have already started comparing the two. And Janhvi has something to say about Sara being her competition.
In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Janhvi, talking about Sara, said, “There is no competition. I am looking forward to watching her films as an audience member. She holds great promise and I think women should support each other.”
Besides ‘Dhadak’, Janhvi has not signed any other film, though there were reports of another project. Clarifying on that matter, Janhvi said, “I have heard that rumour. But no, I am not doing any south film. At the moment, my priority is Dhadak. I am concentrating on promoting my first film before taking on anything else. That is the only movie on my mind.”
Janhvi‘s ‘Dhadak’ will also mark Shahid Kapoor’s brother, Ishaan Khatter’s debut in Bollywood. The film, which is an adaptation of the Marathi film, ‘Sairat’ is directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar.
Talking about Sara’s debut film, ‘Kedarnath’, it is being directed by Ahishek Kapoor and also stars Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead. Yesterday, there were reports that the film may not release on November 30, as planned, to avoid the clash with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s ‘2.0’. Though no official announcement has been made.
Apart from this, Sara has already signed her second film. Titled ‘Simmba’, the film is directed by Rohit Shetty and stars Ranveer Singh in the lead. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film will release on December 28, 2018.
