Janhvi Kapoor on taking Sridevi’s legacy forward
Bawaal actress Janhvi Kapoor got into a conversation with Film Companion where she opened up about Sridevi. She shared, “I cannot abandon my mom’s (Sridevi) legacy. I need to take it forward, I will die trying. It means the most to me. I need to work day and night tirelessly so that I justify that I got this opportunity easily. And I feel like I have taken somebody’s spot. So it is only right for me, out of respect, to overcompensate, in order to justify this.”
Along with this, Janhvi also opened up about her love for movies. She said, “I am obsessed with movies, it is all I have ever known. My education has been through movies. My livelihood is based on that. The least I can do is give my entire being and devote it to the craft. And I feel like if people say ye privilege, ye fame virasat mein mili hai toh khoon toh maa-baap ka hi hai na? Toh phir mehnat, this devotion to cinema, this love for cinema, that is also in my blood. I don’t know, I will die trying.”
