Javed Akhtar on Shabana Azmi’s health: All tests and medical reports are positive

Shabana Azmi was hospitalized on January 18 after her car met with an accident on Mumbai Pune Expressway. The veteran actress was injured severely whereas her husband Javed Akhtar escaped unhurt. Its been five days since the horrific accident and sharing some good news Akhtar said that the reports are positive and hence the actress might be discharged very soon.

Giving updates about his wife’s health, Javed told Bollywood Hungama, “There is good news. All tests and medical reports including the MRI are positive. No serious harm was done. We can all breathe a sigh of relief.”

The actress was earlier admitted in MGM hospital in Navi Mumbai, later she was shifted to Kokilaben Ambani hospital in Andheri. Several B-town celebs such as Tabu, Tina Ambani, Satish Kaushik, and others had rushed to the hospital to meet the ailing actress.

Post the accident, Shabana’s driver Kamlesh Kamath was booked for rash driving as apparently he was trying to overtake another vehicle when the incident took place.

Now thankfully that all the reports are positive and the actress is recovering fast, we hope she gets discharged at the earliest.
