‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ actress Alaya F opens up on her parents’ divorce

Alaya F is currently gearing up for her much-awaited debut film ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’. Alaya’s parents Pooja Bedi and Farhaan Furniturewala got divorced in 2003 after eight years of marriage. The newbie actress recently spoke about her parent’s divorce and how she dealt with it.

Opening up on her parents’ divorce, Alaya told Pinkvilla, “I was 5-years-old and I don’t really have that much memory of it. I had memory of years after that. I had a happy childhood and both my parents are still on great terms. They never made me feel that something sad has happened. It was just a divorce and it’s okay.”

The ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ actress also opened up about her mother’s current fiance Maneck Contractor, and her father Farhaan’s wife Fathima. “Now, my father has remarried and I have another brother Zan who I love dearly. People ask me, ‘How do you get along with your stepmother?’ I like her. I have never known otherwise. I have a very good relationship with (Maneck) too. They are all wonderful, happy people so I have also been happy with them,” shared Alaya.

Meanwhile, talking about ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’, the film also stars Saif Ali Khan and Tabu in a pivotal role. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the film is scheduled to release on January 31.
