Jawan director Atlee REVEALS the reason to include multiple plots in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer

Atlee directed Jawan has jolted the box office and the audience. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Priyamani among others, Jawan has emerged as a massive hit. Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan released on 7 September and continues to grow with each passing day. Now, Jawan director Atlee shares the details of Jawan.

Atlee opens up about multiple plots in Jawan

In an interview with Film Companion, Atlee opened up about multiple plots in Jawan. He said, “Our audience has diverse tastes. Certain people will love the father-daughter scenes, some will love the action bit, some will love the emotional bits, something you will take from the film. The ‘ensemblity’ will make you satisfied. That is my rhythm. I need multiple stories, I need multiple plots to make a film.”

The world knows that Jawan is a high-octane action entertainer. Speaking about the violent scenes in Jawan, Atlee says, “Violence is defined by the way it is shown on the screen. It should create an impact but it should not be gory. That’s my evaluation. It depends on the genre and the pain you have to give to your audience. The puppy with whom we shot, his name was Bunty and it was amazing to act with him. When we would tell him to lie down, he will do that. It was painful for me to see him get killed on the screen too, but we were trying to give hard-hitting scenes.”

Jawan marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee. The film also marks Atlee’s first directorial in Bollywood. Jawan is produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan has minted Rs. 950 crores worldwide just in a matter of 16 days. Very soon, the film will touch the 1000 crore mark.
