Jawan is Shah Rukh Khan’s most expensive film of 2023? Surpasses Pathaan’s budget – deets inside

It’s not even a month left for Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan to hit theaters. There’s no doubt the film is all set to jolt the box office as well as the netizens. Trust us, the hype for the Atlee-directorial is high as ever. With the bubbling excitement, we are as excited for Jawan as you are!

Jawan prevue, first looks, and songs have made it crystal clear that SRK, along with Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, are going to kill it with their fantabulous acting skills, and why not! The star cast of the film have already made many memorable films throughout their career in the film industry.

Jawan is Shah Rukh Khans’ most expensive film

Did you know that Jawan is one of the most expensive films of SRK? Duh, you read that right! According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Jawan is King Khan’s most expensive film ever made. A source told the portal that, “Jawan is Shah Rukh Khan’s most expensive film till date made on a budget of Rs. 300 crores. King Khan is known to be a gracious producer who loves to spend big to give his audience the best experience on the big screen. Atlee is also a director who is a big believer of the theatrical medium and the duo have come together to create one of the biggest action thrillers of all time,” 

Adding up further, it also said, “Shah Rukh knew that Pathaan would raise the bar of cinema in India. And hence, he was clear to make Jawan even better than Pathaan. The action blocks are shot in big setups. The team went ahead to mount big sets rather than the greenscreen format used in Pathaan, to give it a more realistic feel. There have been some delays and reshoots too which added to the costs, but it is all for the benefit of the film to make it look glossy and classy,”

Jawan’s budget surpasses Pathaan’s budget

Gosh, what even! A film made on a budget of Rs 300 crores is worth the watch and it’s SRK after all! As Pathaan was made on a whopping budget of Rs 250 crores, it shattered the box office and turned out to be a massive hit. Speaking of his earlier films, Dilwale was made around a budget of Rs. 135 crores, and Zero was made on a budget of Rs.200 crores. Dunki being SRK’s upcoming film, is reportedly being made on a budget of Rs.100 crores.

Speaking of Jawan, Chaleya is a freshly released song from Shah Rukh Khan starrer. In Chaleya, SRK proves why he is the King of romance. Needless to say that the film is already making headlines over the media for the very right reasons. With this, we are beyond excited and just can’t wait for the film to release. Jawan is all set to hit worldwide theatres on 7 September, 2023.
