Jeetendra sexual assault case: Shimla Police files FIR against the actor

A couple of weeks back, a cousin sister of veteran actor Jeetendra accused the latter of assaulting her sexually, 47 years back. The incident allegedly took place when they were staying in the same hotel. Back then, Jeetendra was 28-year-old while his sister was 18.

The concerned woman sent in an email to SR Mardi, Director General of Police, Himachal Pradesh. As reported by Indian Express, the Shimla Police have now filed an FIR against the actor.

“An FIR under section 354 IPC has been registered at Chotta Shimla police station. After her email, we got in touch with the complainant, who later had also sent us a written complaint to support her version,” Shimla’s Superintendent of Police Umapati Jamwal told the publication. While an investigation will be carried out, the police also confirmed that the accuser hadn’t given any proof of their hotel stay yet. As per her complaint, the incident took place after she joined him for a film shoot at Shimla and he returned to the hotel one night, intoxicated.
