In 2013, on June 3 actress Jiah Khan was found dead hanging from a ceiling fan at her Juhu apartment in Mumbai. Since the letter talked about the reason why Jiah ended her life and the some tiff with Sooraj, the Hero actor was taken into custody on June 10, 2013. But he was later granted bail on July 2, 2013. Later in October that year Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan had filed a plea in the Bombay High Court as she seeked a CBI probe into her daughter’s death. Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Times Of India, Jiah Khan’s mother lauded the transfer of the death case as she feels her daughters was killed, “The innocent Jiah had no fault. A wise decision by the court now. CBI will retrieve evidence from Maharashtra police after nine years. CBI has Scarman’s report, experts forensic report, they need to send evidence to forensics to analyse whether the ligature could imprint just injuries on Jiah. We expect applaudable answers to the truth because Jiah would never take her life, and she was killed beyond a reasonable doubt.”
