Jiah Khan death case verdict: Sooraj Pancholi’s mother Zarina Wahab speaks up

Ahead of Jiah Khan death case, Sooraj Pancholi’s mother Zarina Wahab said, ‘We’ve been waiting for ten years for the verdict. It has been hell for our son. All this time we’ve believed that the Almighty would do justice to our son.”

Earlier today, it was revealed that the Mumbai court will announce its final verdict in the Jiah Khan death case tomorrow i.e. 28th April 2023. The hearing will take place at the Special CBI Court in Mumbai. Actor Sooraj Pancholi, who was held responsible for Jiah’s death by her mother Rabia has been a prime accused in the case for a decade now. With things heading to a closure, Sooraj’s mother actress Zarina Wahab shared that she believes her son will get justice. The actress added that the family has full faith in God.

Speaking to ETimes, Zarina who has been extremely vocal about her support for her son Sooraj Pancholi, asked fans to pray for him. Sooraj’s mother stated that the entire family has been waiting for ‘ten years for the verdict’.

Zarina was quoted saying, “We’ve been waiting for ten years for the verdict. It has been hell for our son. All this time we’ve believed that the Almighty would do justice to our son.”

An emotional Zarina went on to share how tough it all has been for her son Sooraj. The actress said, “When my son looks at me I can feel his pain. I am not able to look into his eyes. We don’t say much to one another. I can feel what he is going through. And I feel helpless. I can’t say anything to him.” She added that he is ‘innocent’.

Zarina further mentioned, “Dus saal lag gaye hain. Lekin mujhe oopar wale pe pura bharosa hai (It’s been ten years. But, I have full faith in God) I feel this has been a phase, a traumatic phase. Lekin uparwale ke ghar mein der hai andher nahi (I believe there’s light in God’s house and not darkness) I am fully confident that my son will get justice because he is innocent.”

Furthermore, Zarina added that she will be in court tomorrow with her son. The actress then requested fans to pray for Sooraj. She called him a ‘strong boy’ and added that she has ‘full faith in judiciary. Ussey maloom hai ki insaaf milega (He knows he will get justice tomorrow) InshaAllah.’

For the unversed, Jiah and Sooraj were in a relationship. Jiah died by suicide on 3^rd June 2013. Post her death, Sooraj was arrested under the charges of abetment by suicide after Jiah’s mother Rabia accused him of being involved in her daughter’s death.
