Sushant Singh Rajput took his life on June 14 by hanging himself at his Bandra residence. Sushant’s death has shattered us to the core and we are still not being able to come to terms that he is no more. Post his death, Bollywood is now not seen as one industry. It got divided. Many filmmakers and actors have now called out the ‘privileged’ Bollywood clubs or camps who always play the superiority card in the industry and lobby against the outsider or someone who doesn’t belong to their camps.
Sushant’s death has yet again brought Jiah Khan’s suicide row. In 2013, the young actress ended her life and Sooraj Pancholi (Jiah’s ex-boyfriend) was accused behind her death. After hearing about Sushant’s death, late Jiah Khan’s mother said in a video that Bollywood has to change and ‘demolish bullying’.
“My condolences to Sushant Singh’s family. It is very heartbreaking, it is not a joke. Bollywood has to change, Bollywood has to wake up. Bollywood has to completely demolish bullying as bullying is also like killing somebody,” said Rabia Amin in the video.
We need to tell our stories. We need to show our community, families, leaders and #Bollywood mega stars to stop using their influence of fame power & money for corruption.”#Allivesmatter @expertsabroad @narendramodi @Justicebefound for jiah and #SushantSinghRajput pic.twitter.com/I2YrnGiXL0
