Veteran director JP Dutta appointed an army person on the set of his upcoming film ‘Paltan’ to ensure all army protocols were been followed properly. Captain Gupta, was the appointed army officer and he ensured that everything, from uniforms to day to day update to the MD on the set, was as authentic as a real army camp. JP Dutta didn’t leave any stone unturned to make the film look realistic as recreating those war scenario of ’60s today, required a lot of research.
JP Dutta, after treating the audience with India’s most loved war dramas Border (1997) and LOC Kargil (2003), will now be presenting his upcoming ‘Paltan‘, completing India’s biggest war trilogy. J P Dutta has returned to direction after 12 years with ‘Paltan’.
The upcoming war drama, also stars an ensemble cast consisting of Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhary, Harshvardhan Rane, Siddhant Kapoor, Luv Sinha, Esha Gupta, Sonal Chauhan, Monica Gill, Dipika Kakar and others.
With power-packed performances, the film promises to tell the riveting, untold story of the bravest of Indian soldiers who fought with their brothers next to them till the end.
‘Paltan’ showcases the story of the Indian forces battling a Chinese infiltration and is based on the Nathu La military clashes of 1967 which took place along the Sikkim border. Presented by Zee Studios and produced by JP Dutta Films, ‘Paltan’ is directed by JP Dutta and is slated to release on September 7, 2018.
