Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Devara postponed, film to not release in April 2024?

Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan starrer Devara is one of the most anticipated films this year. Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara has been making headlines ever since it was announced. Devara: Part 1 was slated to release in the theatres on April 5, 2024. However, it has now been postponed. The makers are reportedly looking for a new release date. They are yet to make an official announcement.

Jr NTR starrer Devara postponed

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Devara will not release on April 5. A source close to the production house shared, “Devara is a high-end VFX film, and the output is taking longer than expected. The makers are clear about not compromising on the visuals, as the stakes are high. NTR Jr. is also very cautious about next after RRR and wants to deliver a big cinematic experience. The makers are now looking to arrive in the second half of 2024.” Reportedly, 20 days of shooting are remaining, which has been put on hold due to Saif Ali Khan’s injury.

If reports are to be believed, Devara will release in the theatres in August or September.

Earlier this month, the makers of Jr NTR starrer gave fans a glimpse into the world of Devara. Jr NTR won hearts with his deadly avatar. The actor shared the teaser on his Instagram and wrote in the caption, “The sea is full of blood… it’s his Red Sea! All hail! All hail the tiger! #DevaraGlimpse #Devara.”

The upcoming film marks Janhvi Kapoor’s debut in the South film industry. Devara also stars Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and Narain.
