‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ director Prakash Kovelamudi: Kangana Ranaut is wonderful as well as a thinking actor

After the historical drama ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’, fiery actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to wow the audience with her upcoming film ‘Judgementall Hai Kya‘. The trailer of this mystery thriller which also stars Rajkumaar Rao was unveiled yesterday and as expected, it surpassed everyone’s expectations. Both Rao and Ranaut are pitted against each other and we just can’t wait to watch the film.

At the trailer launch yesterday, director Prakash Kovelamudi opened up about working with the National-Award winning actress Kangana in his Bollywood debut film. For the unversed, Prakash is a renowned director down South.

Talking about working with Kangana, Prakash called her a thinking actress. “I thoroughly enjoyed directing Kangana. I come from the theatre (background) and I like when my actors ask me questions. I like us to have creative discussions. I like us to arrive on something that we can creatively collaborate on. I believe filmmaking is a collaborative process.”

In her past few projects, Kangana has been accused of interfering with the making of the film. However, Prakash says that by exchanging inputs from his actors, the end result is that they all have made a better film. “I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kangana. Taking her inputs and giving mine, we have made this a better film together. And those inputs have come from everybody in the team. She is wonderful. She is a thinking actor.” 

Seems like Prakash is very confident about his debut Hindi film and we just can’t wait to watch it on the silver screen. Also starring Satish Kaushik, Jimmy Sheirgill and Amyra Dastur, ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ is scheduled to hit the silver screens on July 26.
