Remember these sultry bikini babes emerging from the sea in ‘Judwaa 2’? Yeah, co-stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu seem to have momentarily ditched that avatar and have wowed us again… but this time with their desi jalwa.

For the Lux Golden Rose Awards 2017 on Sunday evening, Jacqueline stepped out in this prettylicious Tarun Tahiliani saree from his latest couture collection. The gorg ivory number with gold embellishments was love at first sight for us as it wasn’t trying too hard to get noticed. Stylist Chandini Whabi opted for a soft look that totally worked for the outfit as any colour pop would have killed the elegance of the classy outfit.

The smokey effect

Jacqueline wore glossy pink lips and flaunted her bold, smokey eye makeup with long lashes and shimmery shadow. Hair artist Amit Thakur gave her a neat low bun with wavy hair that created a fun vibe. We think the actress wore the saree impeccably and would want to see her more in such avatars.

Taapsee Pannu in Neeta Lulla

On the contrary, Taapsee chose this dhinchak saree with eye-popping hues that might have offended many but we think she did a fab job. We’re diggin’ over that South Indian, traditional feel of the saree that the actress does full justice to. The striking pink, green and yellow checkered Neeta Lulla saree was clubbed with this busy, eccentric black blouse with colourful embroidery at the neckline and cuffs.

Bang-on desi game

Yeah, this visual overload could have gone wrong but the actress balances it with a pretty bindi and huge, heritage earrings from Narayan Jewellers. She wore her hair back in a knot with white roses and opted for strong red lips. How we’re loving her bright ensemble and that infectious smile!
