Sonam Kapoor won a million hearts with her performance in ‘Neerja’ which also got her a National award and continued her victory march as she received encouraging reviews for her portrayals in ‘Padman’ and her latest outing’Veere Di Wedding’.
After winning hearts of million fans, the actress has now found an admirer in Juhi Chawla, with who she shares screen space in ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’.
Praising Sonam, Juhi said, “There is this sequence where Sonam breaks down following a scene with her father and I was amazed to see her do that without glycerin. She really gets in the mood of the shot.”
Talking about their camaraderie, the two have also grown close through the shoot of the film and the ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ actress feels special working with the father-daughter duo. The actress added “I think working with Anilji and Sonam in the same film makes it more special. I had seen Sonam as a 12-13-year-old girl when I was shooting for ‘Deewana Mastana’ with her dad. She wants to know about the ’90s, how it was for working then, about the different directors, etc.”
Directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar, ‘ELKDTAL’, tells the story of a Hindu woman who falls in love with a Muslim man, and how her life falls apart when she discovers her father’s infidelity with a woman.
