Junaid Khan, the son of actor Aamir Khan, has had a unique and unconventional journey in the film industry. At the age of 30, he made his debut with a Netflix film, and now, he is gearing up for his first theatrical release, Loveyapa, which also stars Khushi Kapoor. Junaid has been actively promoting the film, and in a recent interview, he shared an interesting insight about his conversations on cinema—specifically, how he enjoys discussing films, but not with his father, Aamir Khan.

Junaid Khan prefers spending time with Boney Kapoor than Aamir Khan

Junaid revealed that he shares a great rapport with Khushi Kapoor’s father, producer Boney Kapoor, and enjoys their long chats. “I love hanging out with him. I can speak for hours together with him. He has the best stories, and he has seen so much in cinema. Almost 50 years worth of experience,” Junaid shared.

However, when asked about his father Aamir Khan, who also has a wealth of experience and stories to share, Junaid’s response surprised everyone.“I’d rather sit with Boney uncle,” said Junaid, explaining his reasoning. “Of course, he is like an encyclopedia. He knows so many things about a wide range of subjects, for sure. But as they say… ghar ki murgi dal barabar (We value the unfamiliar more than what we value the familiar).”

Despite this, Aamir has been very supportive of Junaid’s career and has been actively involved in the promotional activities for Loveyapa. Directed by Advait Chandan, known for Secret Superstar and Laal Singh Chaddha, the film has garnered attention with Aamir’s presence at its trailer launch and during promotional appearances, including an appearance with Junaid and Khushi Kapoor on Bigg Boss.
