'Junooniyat' release to be shifted back to June 24?

There has been a lot of confusion over the release date of films, and the latest gossip doing the rounds is that ‘Junooniyat‘ which was earlier planned for a June 24 release and was pre-poned by a week to June 17, will once again be shifted back to it’s original release date of June 24.

The whole confusion started when the much in controversy movie ‘Udta Punjab’ was not getting clearance from the Censor Board and the movie makers were skeptical if the movie would see the light of the day on June 17. That’s when the other two movies ‘Shorgul’ and ‘Junooniyat’ which were earlier to release on June 24, were pre-poned by a week. But, after the High Court cleared ‘Udta Punjab’ with a A certificate, the makers of ‘Shorgul’ and ‘Junooniyat’ thought it best to move back their film releases to the original dates, since it would lead to a clash with ‘Udta Punjab’ and Nagesh Kukunoor directed ‘Dhanak’ which also hits the screens on June 17.

It’s officially confirmed that ‘Shorgul’ will be releasing on June 24 but we are yet to receive a confirmation on ‘Junooniyat’, so let’s wait some more.
