JUST IN: Irrfan Khan reveals he has been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine tumour

Many would be aware that actor Irrfan Khan has been unwell for quite some time now. The actor had himself revealed about his “rare disease” through his Twitter handle but he never gave a name to his illness. Now after 10 days the actor has put out another statement where he has said that he has been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Tumour.

To give you a brief idea of what exactly is Neuroendocrine Tumour (NET). NET’s are neoplasms that arise from cells of the endocrine (hormonal) and nervous systems. Many are benign, while some are malignant. They most commonly occur in the intestine, where they are often called carcinoid tumours, but they are also found in the pancreas, lung and the rest of the body.

But the ever-positive actor has also started his statement with a quote of author Margaret Mitchell which reads, “Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect.” (Also Read: Shoojit Sircar assures fans that Irrfan Khan is fine now)

Indeed, this quote shared by him gives a perfect insight of what the actor is feeling at this point in time. We wish Irrfan a speedy recovery and back to the silver screen cause that’s where he truly belongs.
