Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham clocks 22 years: Kajol REVEALS Karan Johar ‘collapsed and fainted on set’, here’s why

The Karan Johar directorial Kabhi Khushi Kabhie is one of the most loved films for multiple reasons. It starred Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Today, i.e. December 14 marks 22 years of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie’s release. Kajol and KJo shared videos on Instagram to mark the special day.

Starting with Kajol, she shared a video comprising her special moments from the movie. The actress also shared a few anecdotes. Kajol spoke about how Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan made his big screen debut with K3G. Remember the child who comes running and embraces Jaya Bachchan in the film? Well, that was none other than Aryan. That’s not all, Kajol also revealed that Karan Johar ‘collapsed and fainted’ on the sets of the film.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie completes 22 years

The actress wrote, “22 years to #k3g…. Another acronym but yes another long lasting memory!!! Yash uncle actually renovated and made new makeup rooms in Filmistan Studios permanently just for the shooting of this film because even with the vanity vans it was not going to be enough for this gigantic starrer! @karanjohar collapsed and fainted on set because of dehydration in the first few days…. it was really really hot. And this was @____aryan’s debut on screen…! It was also I think my first comeback (not sure about this part tho) too many comebacks ago) And the first day and only time I stood in front of the pyramids and truly felt them with my soul… so yes this was a truly HUGE film in every which way, in life and cinema!”

Apart from Kajol, Karan Johar too shared a video on Instagram as he thanked the ‘magnificent and magnanimous cast’ of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie for making the journey memorable.

On the work front, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani marked KJo’s return as a director this year. On the other hand, Kajol was last seen in The Trial: Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhokha. The actress will be next seen in Do Patti co-starring Kriti Sanon.
