Director Kabir Khan recent release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is making waves at the box Office. The hot shot filmmaker was accused of giving preferential treatment to Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan over Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Phantom’.
Rubbishing the rumours Kabir Khan cleared the air with his candid statement, “I don’t know why people are saying that I am ignoring Phantom! People on Twitter are also asking me that and sometimes I reply back saying, ‘IT’S MY FILM, HOW CAN I IGNORE IT?’ Phantom is very, very special for me and I cannot ignore it ever. What happened with Phantom is that we were initially going to release it on the 3rd of April.”
Kabir Khan further added, ” Phantom is a UTV film and in February they said that another film from their slate is vacating their slot of 28th of August. I guess it was ‘Jagga Jasoos’ and that weekend is much bigger as it has ‘Raksha Bandhan’. So they told us to not to release on April 3 and told us to release on August 28 and that has worked fine for us. The film was always ready and with still six weeks remaining for its release, we have lot of time for the promotions of the film. I was waiting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan to release, now I will shift my focus to Phantom, work on the final detailing and then release it on August 28.”
Well this does clear the air and soon the Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan thriller Phantom, will hit theaters.
