Is Kabir Khan going to direct Ranveer Singh next, post ‘Tubelight’ with Salman Khan?

Kabir Khan is currently busy helming ‘Tubelight’, which stars Salman Khan and Sohail Khan. Also, he will soon be working on the sequel of 2012 blockbuster ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, titled ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, which will see Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprising their roles from the original. We had heard some time back that Kabir Khan will be helming a movie based on the historic 1983 Cricket World Cup win of India. Now, if rumours are anything to go by, Kabir is interested in roping Ranveer Singh in for it.

A source said, “Ranveer has been approached for Kabir’s cricket film and if all goes well after completing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati the actor might start working on this project.” Another buzz suggested that Arjun Kapoor was the original choice for the role, but after he turned it out Ranveer was approached for it.

Well, after the success of ‘M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story’, we can say that this one too will be high on emotions and will tell the tale of that historic win, when Kapil Dev and team brought back, the first World Cup to India.
