Kabir Khan’s ’83’ finds its Ravi Shastri in THIS actor from Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Uri’

Bollywood’s blue-eyed boy Ranveer Singh after the super success of his recent release ‘Gully Boy’ is busy prepping for his next with Kabir Khan. The actor will be seen in a biopic based on 1983’s World Cup Winning Captain, Kapil Dev that has been titled as ‘83′.

The movie has been in news since a long time now for the makers have been searching for the rest of the team to play the role of the prominent members who were part of the iconic World Cup winning team. Many roles have been locked already and the now the makers have locked in Dhairya Karwa who was seen in Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer ‘Uri’.

As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actor who depicted the role of Captain Sartaj Singh in ‘Uri’ might be seen playing the role of ace Indian cricketer, Ravi Shastri in the biopic. Dhairya has already joined the training for the film in Mumbai and has been practicing to perfect his moves as part of the 1983 World Cup winning team from India.

The others who have been locked in to play the parts of the various Indian cricketers are Pankaj Tripathi as the team manager, PR Man Singh, Ammy Virk as Balvinder Singh Sandhu. Chirag Patil as Sandip Patil, Hardy Sandhu as Madan Lal. Saqib Saleem will be seen as Mohinder Amarnath, while Sunil Gavaskar will be played by Tahir Raj Bhasin.

A major part of the movie will be shot in England and Scotland. Ranveer Singh too has started prepping for the movie that will on floor by March 15.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh also has Karan Johar’s period drama ‘Takht’, the movie also features Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.
