Kajal Aggarwal to return to work after pregnancy, confirms resuming Indian 2 shoot

Actress Kajal Aggarwal welcomed her first child, a baby boy with husband Gautam Kitchlu in April this year. Kajal was on a break and now she will resume shooting for Indian 2. The news has been confirmed by the actress herself. The shoot of Kamal Haasan film, Indian 2 was halted due to an accident on set and Covid-19 pandemic.

The shoot will now resume from September and new mommy Kajal will shoot from September 13 onwards. There have been reports that Kajal is not part of Indian 2. But now putting all the rumours to rest, she has finally confirmed that she is still part of the Shankar film.

Earlier, it was reported that Indian 2 has been put on the back-burner due to a disagreement between director Shankar and production house Lyca. Kamal Haasan in an interview had clarified stating, “We had so many things coming in between, apart from the fact that it’s a very big film. We had Covid. We had an accident on the set where people died. It’s so unnerving but we continued. Indian 2 will happen. We are all working on it. We are all talking to Lyca Productions. They are also keen to shoot. So now it’s just a question of getting everything together on the logistics front”.

The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
