Kajol is elated of Ajay Devgn’s win at Padma Awards, tweets her joy

It was in the year 1999, Ajay Devgn was away from Mumbai for his shoot when he was informed by his wife Kajol, that he had won a National Award for his performance in Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Zakhm.’ Today 17 years later the actor is far away for a shoot again when his pretty wife is happy on his prestigious win of Padma award.

Recently, the Padma Awards were announced where Ajay Devgn received the fourth highest civilian award Padma Shri. The actor who is busy shooting for his next directorial ‘Shivaay’ in Bulgaria expressed his happiness on winning this coveted title. He said on via web conference, “I feel deeply humbled yet elated to receive such an honour from my own country. This announcement today makes it special for me when I’m filming abroad for my new film ‘Shivaay.’ I’d like to acknowledge that Padma Samman puts an extra responsibility on me, and I promise to serve my country for as long as I can.”

Kajol who has been conferred with the same award title in the year 2011 took to twitter to share this happy news for her loving husband. She posted:

Certainly, this is a huge honour for the actor to be recognised for his contribution towards the field of Cinema.
