Kajol keen to do a film like ‘Ishq’

Fans of Kajol are quite excited to see her on the big screen in South film ‘VIP 2’. But, we are yet to know that which will be her next Bollywood film. Well, recently while talking to DNA, the actress revealed that she wants to do a film like ‘Ishq’.

Kajol stated, “I would love to do something like ‘Ishq’ again. It was mad, funny and extremely entertaining. I’m hoping someone approaches me for a film like that.”

“I think in the ’90s, we really made some great entertaining films. Although nobody has offered me a comedy like that now, I would not wait to say yes if something comes my way,” the actress added.

Well, we hope that some filmmakers offer her a good rom-com as it will surely be fun to see Kajol doing some comedy on the big screen again. (Also Read: Before Instagram, did Kajol and Karan patch up by meeting in person?)

The actress’ last Bollywood film was ‘Dilwale’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Though the film was a hit at the box office, it was panned by critics. However, Kajol’s performance was praised a lot. In ‘VIP 2’, the actress plays antagonist and has been getting positive reviews for her performance.

While talking about ‘VIP 2’, the actress had earlier stated, “I was very nervous before I accepted the film because it’s difficult to speak and act in another language. I remember thinking how Rajiv (director of ‘Minsara Kanavu’) gave me three pages of homework (learning Tamil). We spent two hours every day doing that homework, it was like boarding school all over again.”

“Dhanush and Soundarya came over and they lied to their teeth, saying, ‘You should do the film because you won’t have to speak Tamil at all.’ But they proved me wrong on the first day when I got a long script with two scenes and huge dialogues. I didn’t know what to do with it. They said, ‘At least try’,” the actress added.
