Kajol’s mother Tanuja to undergo surgery for abdominal pain

Bollywood actress Kajol is certainly going through a rough patch. The wife of Ajay Devgn on May 27 (Monday) lost her father-in-law Veeru Devgan. The sudden demise of action-choreographer has affected Kajol a great deal and she even broke down while meeting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Now, Kajol’s mother Tanuja will be undergoing surgery after she was admitted to the hospital and complained of abdominal pain.

The veteran actress will undergo an operation for a condition called diverticulitis. Tanuja, who is 75 years of age, was admitted to city-based Lilavati Hospital on Wednesday. The hospital sources told news agency PTI that Tanuja will be operated for diverticulitis, a condition which results in the inflammation or infection of small pouches called diverticula that develop along the walls of the intestines.

Yesterday (May 29), Kajol paid a visit to her mother and was obviously quite emotional. Kajol is very close to her family and shares a very deep and personal bond with her mom. Tanuja ji has been a legendary figure in Hindi cinema and is known for films like ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ and ‘Jewel Thief.’
