Kajol REVEALS why she doesn’t message Shah Rukh Khan as much despite sharing a great friendship

Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan are our favourite on-screen couple of all time. Their jodi is considered to be super iconic and certainly no one can ever replicate the chemistry they exuded on-screen. From Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge to My Name Is Khan they have starred in many movies together. They are not just mere co-stars but also besties. We have seen them share a strong friendship. Recently, Kajol opened up about the bond they shared and why she doesn’t message Shah Rukh as much despite sharing a great friendship

Kajol shares about her friendship with SRK

During an interview with Mashable India, Kajol was questioned about the true nature of her friendship with Shah Rukh Khan. She was asked whether they are as close as they are often portrayed to be by the public. Answering the question the actress said, “Very, very good friends”.

Opening about her the friendship she shared with King Khan, Kajol said, “I know for a fact that if I ever had to call him up at 3 o’clock in the morning, he would pick up my phone and he knows vice versa…(but) No, I do not message him every day ‘Good morning there’ and send him a flower photograph.” She further hilariously exclaimed, “I think he’d stab me with a nice fork if I ever tried it.”

Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan set the bar high for friendship goals. They last appeared together in the movie Dilwale in 2015 and haven’t graced the screens with their presence in other films since then. Fans anxiously await the comeback of their beloved jodi.

On the work front, Kajol recently made her OTT web-series debut with The Trial. The show is currently streaming on Disney+Hotstar. Coming up next, she has the movie Do Patti alongside Kriti Sanon. 

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently gearing up for the release of his Atlee-directed film Jawan. The movie is slated to hit theatres on 7 September 2023. Apart from this, he will next be seen in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 in a cameo role. He also has Rajkumari Hirani’s next Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu.
