Paparazzi chasing celebrities at all possible places is nothing new. But when the same happens to a celebrity’s child, the matter tends to get sensitive. A star-kid has definitely not subscribed to his or her parents’ fame, lifestyle or career; and hence, it is always debatable whether poking into their private space is a fair task.
Recently, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana being hounded by the shutterbugs at a screening of ‘Tubelight’ made headlines, and Suhana looked visibly uncomfortable. In the light, actress Kajol has opened up. (Also Read: ‘VIP 2 Lalkar’ trailer: Dhanush and Kajol’s war of words impresses us a lot)
Known to be a strictly private person, Kajol believes this is nothing but harassment.
“If something like this were to happen with Nysa or Yug, I’d be infuriated. It’s sad that the Indian paparazzi has reached a stage where it can do this to a kid. What happened with her sounds like bullying to me. We are stars; it’s our job to accept all of that. But to be doing that to someone who is nothing more than an impressionable teenager, is harassing her in plain words. They should be more responsible when it comes to dealing with our kids. We signed up for this, they didn’t,” she said, during a conversation with Mid-Day.
Unlike most other star-kids, Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s children Nysa and Yug are almost always away from the limelight. Earlier also, she made it clear that showbiz is not a place for children and they need to be grown up enough before they make a choice of entering it.
“Ajay and I are clear that our children need to have the liberty to make the choices that any regular kid their age can. Whether her (Nysa) choices involve being in the movies, is entirely her call,” she added.
The actress is presently promoting ‘VIP 2’ wherein she appears opposite Dhanush.
