Kajol’s overly upright, ruffled sleeve is distracting as hell!

Whether you call her a peacock or a swan that’s ready to take flight, the dramatic element of Kajol’s outfit cannot be ignored. The actress, who generally plays safe when it comes to her sartorial choices, recently stepped out in an outfit that took us by surprise. Kajol wore a bodycon dress from Gauri & Nainika for the ace makeup artist and her best friend Mickey Contractor’s bash in Mumbai. This blue, fitted, one-shoulder dress is something you could just pass off as one of those cliché Bollywoody outfits. But it has that one dramatic element that completely makes the look drool-worthy yet distracting as hell. Kajol’s dress featured a cream, exaggerated sleeve and ruffled neckline that almost overshadowed her gorg face and made her right arm undetectable. While we love the contrast colours, the billowy sleeve looked too upright as if someone had pulled it up against gravity. Seriously; take a close look.

To add insult to the injury, celebrity stylist Mohit Rai chose a diamond cuff from Gehna Jewellers that made the look dated. And did you look at those chunky block heels from Intoto? I think they could have been easily replaced with something more delicate and strappy.

Kajol rounded off the look with dewy muted makeup and wore her hair slicked back that saved the outfit from drowning. We love drama, always, but the puffed up sleeve along with the not-so-great accessories didn’t make the cut for us! What do you think?
