‘Kalank’: Shirtless Varun Dhawan shoots under minus 3 degrees in Kargil

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan made their debut in Bollywood with ‘Student of The Year’. Later, they went on to work together in quite a few hit films. They will be next seen in Abhishek Varman’s multi-starrer period drama ‘Kalank’.

Both Alia and Varun are in Kargil, currently shooting for the film. Sharing a shirtless picture from the sets, Varun Dhawan took to Instagram and wrote, “#KALANK-was in for a huge surprise when it began to snow in Kargil. I have been training for a while but I was not sure how I would shoot bare body with the temperatures reaching -3 degrees. @prashantsixpack was by my side. God is great I managed to complete the scene rest is cinema history. Also Kargil is sooo dam beautiful.”

We wonder how the actor managed to brave the harsh temperatures.

Talking about Varun’s shirtless scene in the film, a source close to the film told Mumbai Mirror, “Varun shot for a scene with Alia that required him to be bare-chested despite the minus three degree temperature. As a precautionary measure, a doctor was on standby but thankfully, Varun completed the shot without any glitches.”

Post-shooting, the actor also met army men in Kargil. He was accompanied by co-star Kunal Kemmu.

The film also stars Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur in pivotal roles. ‘Kalank’ is a period drama set in the 1940s and is scheduled to hit the silver screens on April 19, 2019.
