Karan Johar’s upcoming production venture ‘Kalank’ has been in troubled waters since the time it went on floors, in April. After the three lead actors- Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur, got injured on the sets, the third schedule of the multi-starrer has been delayed.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the set that was built in Mumbai for the film collapsed due to rains, ultimately affecting the third schedule of the film. A source close to the leading daily said, “The team was to shoot a 20-day schedule starting July 31. Now, the shoot is postponed for at least two weeks as dates for all the cast members who have scenes together had to be reworked. The makers have decided to wait for the rains to let up before resuming shoot.” The team will rebuild the set and the work for the same will begin soon. The shoot of ‘Kalank’ is expected to be completed by the end of November this year.
Also featuring Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, and Madhuri Dixit, the film is slated to release on April 19, 2019. According to few reports, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit may be seen as Varun Dhawan’s parents while Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen as his brother in the film.
